BACKGROUND:
On offer is this Matching Numbers XR GT sedan…..verifed by ICCARS with original owners manual , log book , Maintenance History, full written history of car including previous owners names for verification & Original Keys.
Four owners from new ( I am 4th owner) , Originally purchased from Dougerty & Co Kyogle Nsw dealership in early November 1967 by a RAAF Serviceman & was driven until posting to Malaysia. The car was then parked up until the mid 80’s when it was bought by a Bundaberg family, Again , The car was driven & enjoyed until being garaged in 1987 with 59,162 miles showing
The third owner purchased the car in late 1996 & undertook maintenance & repairs to register it for daily use. In January 2002 it was garaged with 83072 miles & remained unregistered until 2021 at which time I purchased it. During my tenure of owning this ORIGINAL MATCHING NUMBERS XR GT SEDAN I have this car back to registered condition & it has been registered & driven for the past 4 years, Detailed work I have had performed to get it back to original registered glory include items listed below:
- Original Matching Number Engine fully rebuilt
- Restored original steering wheel ( Rimblow restorations NZ)
- ALL original dash gauges recalibrated and checked for accuracy (Ottis instrumentation Brisbane)
- New clutch & pressure plate etc
- Reconditioned original radiator to 4 core
- New brakes pads all round
- Reconditioned original Brake booster
- Reconditioned original brake master cylinder
- Reconditioned original clutch master cylinder
- Reconditioned original clutch slave cylinder
- Reconditioned original wiper motor
- New single exhaust system
- 4 x new tyres
- Reconditioned original alternator
The ORIGINAL CORRECT TOPLOADER GEABOX is still in the car , as is the CORRECT ORIGINAL DIFF…….. Interior seats, door cards, carpet, hoodlining etc remains untouched & as per factory and in good condition. Original spare tyre on original rim is still in boot……….This car has never been restored paint or body wise so you can see what your buying & is in presentable condition as is ( see pics)
